QURBAANIY...1
and the significance of the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah

ALLAAH TA'ALA SAYS:

Verily my worship and my sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allaah, Sustainer of the worlds. (Al An'aam - 162)

And for every nation we appoint rites (of sacrifice) that they mention the name of Allaah over that beast from quadruped cattle that He has given them for sustenance and food; and your Allaah is the one and only Allaah, so unto Him submit. And give good tidings (O Muhammad) to the humble. (Al-Haj - 34)

It is not their meat, nor their blood that reaches Allaah; it is your piety that reaches Him. (Al-Haj - 37)

Surely we have given you Kautharr (abundance of good), so pray unto your Sustainer and sacrifice. Surely it is your enemy who will be cut off (from good). (Al-Kautharr - 1, 2 & 3)
