DU'AA

  • Qunoot-e-Naazila
In view of the above, the Fuqahaa have ruled that when the Ummat is in a crisis, they should follow the Sunnah practise of Qunoot-e-Naazila and make Du’aa for the Ummah.
  • How To Repel Poverty
Today the problems which Muslims are facing are not concealed from a person with insight. It is as if poverty, bankruptcy, despicability and anxiety have become a distinguishing characteristic of the Muslims. The wise men of this Ummah are planning all kinds of cures for this devastating illness. However, sometimes the plan chosen is incorrect.
  • The Merits of Seeking Forgiveness
The condition of our brothers is that they are preoccupied in complaining about problems, especially with regards to plague today. But very few ponder over this point and secret. Therefore as a means of propagation, advice and seeking good for others, I felt it suitable to pen down a short treatise regarding this subject and send it to the brothers so that the significance of its planning can be realized.
  • The State of Repentance
Tawbah is the return of the servant to Allah. It is also his turning away from the path of those with whom Allah is angry and those who are astray. This returning cannot be done except by Allah's guidance to the Straight Path.
  • Easy Actions for Which Rewards Are Multiplied
    1. Preserving the ties of kinship: " Whoever wishes that  his provision be increased and his age lengthened, let him maintain the ties of kinship." [al-Bukhari and Muslim]
  • The Importance of Du'aa
"O son of Adam! I will forgive you as long as you implore me and have hope in me inspite of what you have done, and I don't care how great a sin you have committed. O son of Adam! If your sins reach the clouds and you seek forgiveness from me, I would forgive you and I don't care. O son of Adam! If you were to meet Me with the earth full of sins, I would certainly come to you with an earth full of forgiveness on condition you do not ascribe partners to me."' (Mishkaat)
  • Adopt a Sunnah - MERCY OR TORMENT ??
Due to this multiple effect of rain, it was the practice of our beloved Nabi (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) that whenever the winds would blow – which is a natural forecast of rain – his colour would change and he would become worried. Upon enquiry, he would say, 'I fear that it could be a punishment for my Ummat' He would also recite the following Du'aa:
  • Adopt a Sunnah - The Blessed Fruit
The practice of Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) at the time of receiving the first fruit of the season was that he would firstly show utmost respect for it, then he would recite a supplication to Allah Ta’ala. Thereafter, he would not partake of it himself, instead he used to give it to any child that was present.
  • Istikhaarah - in the light of the Sunnah by Shaykh Fadhlur Rahmaan Saheb
  • Du'aa - the marrow of Worship
When it is definite and beyond dispute that whatever happens in the world happens by the will of Allah and that every thing that exists lies absolutely in His power and control. It is manifestly natural for us to supplicate to Him in our needs, big as well as small. Followers of all religions beseech Allah and address their petitions to Him. But in Islam it is a matter of paramount importance,
  • At Home with Du'aa
Q: What du'aa should one say when he wakes up from sleep? ...
  • Supplication is a Cure
Supplication is from the most beneficial types of healing, it is the enemy of illness and affliction - repressing it and treating it, preventing its occurrence, removing it or at least alleviating it. It is the weapon of the believer as is reported by al-Haakim in his 'Mustadrak' from the hadeeth of Alee bin Abee Taalib (RA) from the Messenger of Allaah sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam that he said, "Supplication is the weapon of the believer, the pillar of the religion, and the light of the heaven and earth." (Abu Ya`laa)
  • Du'aas for all Occasions
  • What is Istikhaara?
Whenever a person is faced with a difficult problem, or becomes hesitant in making a decision and his knowledge of the matter is insufficient to guide him then after seeking advice from trusted friends he should turn to Allah and beseech His grace. He should willingly and with an open heart and mind supplicate for divine guidance and ask for direction so that the problem is solved in his own best interest. The Du'aa at such an occasion is called Istikhaarah.
