Let Us Attune Our Life with Seerah
The twelfth of Rabi’ul-Awwal of the Islamic month has assumed the status of
regular celebration and festival in our society, in our country and in the
Indo-Pak sub-continent. No sooner does the month of Rabi’ul-aw-wal arrive than
an endless chain of Seerat

On Celebrating Milaad
One of the serious mistakes we commit on this auspicious occasion is that we
have confined these speeches, addresses or the celebration exclusively to the
month of Rab’iul Awwal and that too only to one day and only to a few hours of
that day. We think that by so doing we have done full justice
to the discourse about the Prophet’s sacred “Seerat”
(biography)

The Prophet
of Allah - sallallaahu alayhi wasallam - Shaykh Aadil
Davids
Although most of us
are aware of the need to use Nabi Muhammad [sallallaahu alayhi
wasallam] as 'the perfect model' on which to pattern our
behaviour, we do not always know what he did and how he
behaved under different circumstances. The result is that we
are unable to use him as a model because we know such a little
about him. Shaykh Aadil's
compilation will help in bringing some understanding of the
Prophet's behaviour to our attention and will make a tangible
contribution to our using the Prophetic model to give a
direction to our own behaviour.

Prophet
Muhammad - a mercy for all creatures
The Noble Prophet was particularly kind to
slaves. He used to say, "They are your brothers; give them to
eat what you eat, and give them to wear what you wear."
Whenever he received any slaves, he always gave them freedom
but they could never free themselves from his kindness and
generosity. They left their parents, relatives and families
and regarded it as an honour to live in bondage to him.

Qasidah
Burda Shareef
IN THIS CHAPTER Allamah Busairi R.A. speaks of
his love for Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam. He tries
to conceal this love and who his beloved is. For this reason,
he has not mentioned the name of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi
Wasallam directly in the whole chapter. By mentioning places
and things close to Madinah, he alludes to Rasulullah
Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam. Due to this excessive love and
devotion for Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam he has
become completely restless, thus exposing this love to
everyone.
