SALAAT
- Go Back and pray, for you have not
prayed
The importance of the prayer in Islam cannot be
understated. It is the first pillar of Islam that the Prophet (peace be
upon him) mentioned after mentioning the testimony of faith, by which
one becomes a Muslim.
- Remove those Old Stains of Sins with
Salaat al-Tasbeeh
Salaatut Tasbeeh is a very
important form of salaah, as is evident from several ahaadith, wherein
Rasulullah ( enjoined it as a matter of great kindness and favour and
stressed on its importance. As such, the Ulamaa, Jurists, Muhadditheen,
and Sufis throughout the centuries have been particular in offering this
Salaah
- Medical Advantages of Sajdah
Sajda(Prostration) is a unique position or stance in the regular prayers,
which a Muslim is supposed to offer at least five times a day. Although the
basic purpose of obligatory prayers is not to provide an exercise for people yet
it is being increasingly recognized that it has plenty of medical advantages for
the human body.

- A Palace in Jannah
Everyday
Rasulullah (Sallallaahu
Alayhi Wasallam) said, ‘Whoever performs 12 Rakaats of Salaat in one day
excluding the Fardh Salaat, he will be granted a house in Jannah.’ (Sahih Muslim
Hadith1691)
- Importance of
Straightening the Saffs
It is desirable for the Imaam to advise the people before
Salaat to straighten their Saffs and appoint a person to check the Saffs are
straight. (Shaami vol.1 pg.568).
The manner in which the Saffs should be straightened is that shoulders and
heels should be in line.
- How to Read Your Salaat
Salah is a pillar of Din. Doing it just right in accordance
with Sunnah is the responsibility of every Muslim. Unfortunately, we go about
performing the cardinal dictates of Salah in a carefree manner following our
whims, hardly caring to see that those dictates have to be carried out in the
manner they were passed on to us by the Holy Prophet
- Eid Salaat at the Musalla (Eid-Gah) is Sunnatul Muakkadah
Among these sunan is the sunnah of performing the Eid Salaat in an open field outside the inhabited area of the town or city.
- Virtues of Tahajjud
In early Islam, prior to the five Salaah becoming Fardh, Tahajjud was Fardh on Nabie [salallahu alaihi wasallam] and the Ummah. Nabie [salallahu alaihi wasallam] and the Sahaba were so vigilant in executing this duty that they would remain awake most of the night performing Tahajud. Nabie's [salallahu alaihi wasallam] mubarak feet would swell because of excessive standing in Tahajjud. Allah Ta'ala then revealed the Ayah, "Now recite as much as is easy of the Quraan." [73:20]
- Advices to the Mutawallis (Trustees) of the Masjids
It is not permissible to assume the post of mutawalli for the sake of honour and self-esteem. If one takes up this responsibility with this intention, then he would have indulged himself in such a calamity, from which it would be impossible to attain salvation in the hereafter. To assume the responsibility of mutawali it is imperative for one to possess the required qualities and capabilities. If one lacks these, it is advised that he relinquish this sacred duty and entrust it to those more able and deserving.
- Salaat - Is Your's Correct ??
by Shaykhul Hadith Moulana Fazlur-Rahmaan Saheb
After Imaan, Salaat is the most important principle of Islam. It is thus quite understandable why the Shariat has so greatly emphasized the importance of its correct performance, punctuality with regard to it etc.
- Congregational Service of Friday and the Eid Salaat
“He who misses three Friday services (in succession) owing to heedlessness or indolence, God sets the seal on his heart.” (Abu Dawud, Nasaai, Ibn Majah) “Let people give up neglect of the Friday prayer otherwise God will set the seal on their hearts, and then they will become of those that are negligent.” (Muslim and Nasaai)
